Rolihlahla = pulling the branch of a tree = Unruhestifter = troublemaker was Nelson Mandela's first name. The art project of the same name for the redesigned Nelson Mandela Platz in Nuremberg also causes unrest. It begins with the search for a diamond in South Africa. A valuable, clear rough diamond is purchased with inclusions that reduce the value of processing into flawless brilliant-cut diamonds. The rough diamond is then melted into an acrylic glass cuboid with the dimensions of Mandela. In this cube, the millennia-old gemstone - inconspicuous during the day, magically illuminated at night - is placed on the square and handed over to the Nuremberg city society.
