Hundreds of empty pairs of eyes look at the visitors, surround them and never let them go. The paper masks in various formats and shades of grey float in a swarm in front of the walls. They follow oblique and jumping lines, are occasionally condensed, then dispersed again and visually cancel out the stability of a spatial structure. The ground begins to sway.

"The Others" is confronting with ambivalent facts: The eyeless pairs of eyes bear witness to an infinite diversity. They can come from humans, animals, unknown beings, aliens. They are reminders of failed hopes and multiple, anonymous deaths. On the other hand, the mass invasion in space is threatening. It brings us into a future that has already arrived: 7.418 billion people currently live in the world. Hunger, war and displacement will cause even more massive migratory movements in the future than has been the case to date.
